🐕 A Day in the Life

Forget standing behind a register watching the clock.

You'll travel around Crestview caring for pets in their own homes while their families are working or traveling. You might start your morning feeding a very enthusiastic Labrador, spend dinner convincing a suspicious cat that you are, in fact, authorized personnel, and finish the evening making sure everyone is safe, comfortable, and tucked in for the night.

You'll work independently, follow each family's care instructions and schedule, and have a team behind you when you need one.

The pets get excellent care. Their humans get peace of mind. And you get to know that what you did that day actually mattered.

🐾 What You'll Actually Be Doing

Keeping Wonder families' homes and pets safe and secure
Feeding, watering, exercising, and medicating pets when needed
Walking dogs and cleaning up pet related messes, litter boxes included
Sending detailed, photo filled visit updates through our app
Noticing changes in a pet's health, behavior, or routine
Following each family's care instructions, even when they do things differently than you do at home
Providing excellent customer service to pets and their people

🐾 What You'll Need

A positive, drama free attitude
A high school diploma or GED
A clean background check
A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
A smartphone with an active data plan
Confidence around pets of all sizes and personalities, including dogs who may greet you with loud barking, jumping, nervousness, hiding, or other less than perfect manners
Compassion for nervous, senior, and special needs pets
The physical ability to walk, bend, reach, climb stairs, and lift at least 15 pounds
The ability to work independently and follow written instructions carefully
The ability to accept feedback, learn our systems, and then confidently work on your own
Reliable availability four days each week during breakfast, dinner, and bedtime visit windows, including weekends and most major holidays

Experience is welcome, but it isn't required. We'll train the right person.

🐾 How the Schedule Actually Works

This isn't a traditional shift based job.

Our schedule follows our clients' travel plans, which means the number of visits and exact routes change from week to week. Most visits happen during our breakfast, dinner, and bedtime windows, with midday visits added as clients need them.

On your scheduled days, you may work more than one of those visit windows. They are separate work periods rather than one continuous shift, so you'll usually have time between routes to go home, run errands, have lunch, or recharge before heading back out.

You'll have four scheduled workdays each week, including weekend availability and some major holidays.

It's a great fit for someone who enjoys independence and flexibility but still wants the structure of knowing which days belong to work.

🐾 The Pay

This is an hourly, part time position. Most Wonder Team members earn around $250 per week or more, plus tips, depending on availability and client demand for part time hours 10 to 25 hours per week on average.

No professional pet care experience? That's okay.

Bring us reliability, good judgment, a willingness to learn, and genuine care for animals. We'll teach you the rest.

Wonder Pups is not a traditional shift-based job. Instead of working one continuous shift, team members are scheduled by workday. On your scheduled workdays, you should expect to be available to work our breakfast, dinner, and bedtime visit windows. Your schedule is provided in advance, and while the specific clients and number of visits change with travel demand, the expectation of working these visit windows on your scheduled days remains the same. Wonder sitters typically work 3 to 5 day work weeks on relatively set schedules where possible.
